SwellPreviousNextPart 7. Baikalo–Lenskiy Nature Reserve

11th August, 49th day out, 1430 km. This isn't a storm, it's a wave run–up (swell) raised by the Kultuk wind. A hundred metres from the shore, waves reach a height of 2 metres. The crests of the waves breaking onto the shore reach approximately the same height. The Gorny wind is blowing head on into the waves.
